Join us for the 15th Annual Olio Nuovo Festival, Durant Olive Mill’s annual celebration of the season’s olive harvest happening throughout the month of November.
This year’s festival will include Italian-inspired food, drinks, and traditions across the Farm. Similar to visiting an Italian village during harvest, we invite you to gather at the Durant Olive Mill to taste the freshly pressed Olio Nuovo (new oil) extra virgin olive oil and join in the festivities!
Look forward to Durant’s signature events: Feast Olio, an elevated 7-course olive oil-centric Italian supper with wine pairings; and Oeno & Olio, a seated communal wine and olive oil tasting with fresh bruschetta. There will be Italian offerings in the Food & Wine Pavilion from local restaurants as well as Arbequina ice cream from our long-time partners, Salt & Straw. The Holiday Marketplace will be brimming with the area’s top artists, makers, and fine food producers alongside Durant olive oil, culinary and home goods, gift boxes, holiday décor, and so much more!

Italian Bites, Exclusive Bubbles Pre-Release
October 26th
The annual Olio Nuovo kickoff event for Durant Club Members will celebrate the 2024 olive harvest with Italian bites and the pre-release of two Durant Vineyards sparkling wines! Grab your friends and head to the Farm for bubbles, food, and fun as you mingle with fellow Club Members and taste the newest vintages of Blanc de Blancs and Brut. Make a day of it and visit the Farm Shop or book a wine tasting!

An elevated and immersive experience to celebrate this season’s olive harvest. Enjoy a tour of our Italian olive mill while sipping Durant Vineyards sparkling wine then feast on a 7-course olive oil-centric Italian supper by Durant Culinary Directors Eric and Sara with Durant wine pairings. What’s Oeno? WINE! | What’s Olio? OLIVE OIL! What better way to celebrate the olive harvest with friends and family at this seated tasting! This is a unique opportunity to taste freshly pressed olive oil with warm baguette and bruschetta alongside a flight of four Durant wines inside our cozy tasting room. Your host will guide you through this tasting explaining the flavor nuances of your wines and olive oils during this seated experience. Seatings are limited.

Join us for a festive day at the Farm as we bid farewell to the Olio Nuovo Festival and welcome the holiday season Durant-style! Our Pictures with Santa Fundraiser lets you support a good cause while you snap fun holiday photos, enjoy freshly shucked oysters and freshly pressed olio nuovo while sipping on our 2 newly released Durant sparkling wines, also load up on unique gifts, culinary goods, holiday decor, plus so much more! The entire property will be bustling with cheer and goodwill, so be sure to explore all of the fun holiday happenings!

Our Olio restaurant partner, Red Hills Market, will be featuring all kinds of Olio Nuovo goodness during the month of November. A rotating menu special that showcases Durant olive oil will be featured each Monday during their Locals Night event and there will be a Durant Olio Nuovo Pop-up during their Tap Takeover on Thursday, November 21. If you’re looking for a sweet treat, grab a Durant Olive Oil cupcake from the bakery case all month long. Also, you’ll be able to sample and purchase Durant olive oils daily.

The Durant Olive Mill, the only Olioteca in Oregon, is at the heart of the Olio Nuovo Festival as we celebrate this season’s olive harvest. This guided presentation offers an exploration into growing olive trees in the NW and the process of milling olives to create award-winning olive oils, plus a tasting of the freshly pressed Olio Nuovo (new oil), and a chance to see the mill in action! (For your safety, we will be observing the milling process from a designated viewing location while the large equipment is running.)

A self-guided exploration of the distinct flavors of freshly milled extra virgin olive oil. Try each olive variety, side-by-side, exploring the unique flavor characteristics found in the various olive cultivars. Get cooking and pairing advice from our educated staff members and shop our selection of olio nuovo evoo – from small gift bottles to full gallon sizes.

Celebrating Olio Nuovo
Beginning in November, our nursery and greenhouses are transformed into a whimsical winter plant and flower market filled with fresh greenery, an expanded selection of seasonal plants for your home, gifts for gardeners and so much more.
Fresh cut olive branches from our very own orchard, festive olive crowns and Durant crafted holiday wreaths featuring our olive foliage are available throughout the holiday season. Browse our selection of Amaryllis, paperwhites and hyacinths bulbs ready to force and fill your home with color and fragrance while waiting for spring to return.
We will begin offering our annual Holiday Greens Box brimming with freshly harvested evergreens from the farm including eucalyptus, bay leaves, cedar, fir and olive branches. This year during the festival we will also be hosting demonstrations on how to use our greenery for your outdoor and indoor Christmas decor! Be sure to sign up online as space is limited.

Join us as we show you how to use the fresh cut greens offered in our Durant’s Greens Box to embellish your indoor and outdoor holiday decor! We will demo three easy projects to help make your season more festive! Please note this demo will be held outdoors in our nursery classroom so dress warmly!
