It’s almost time for the Durant Olive Mill Olio Nuovo Festival, our annual celebration of the season’s olive harvest happening the entire month of November. We’ve added several new ways to experience the Olio Nuovo Festival this year including Feast Olio – an elevated tasting, tour, and farm-to-table communal meal, a seated Olio Festa Wine and Olive Oil Tasting on the weekends at the Tasting Room, plus an upgraded Club Exclusive Olio Happy Hour event.
Look forward to tasting and purchasing freshly milled Olio Nuovo (new oil) extra virgin olive oil made here at Oregon’s only commercial olive mill, enjoying food and wine in the newly built Tasting Pavilion, plus shopping the Nursery, Farm Shop, and Holiday Marketplace for natural greens and wreaths, holiday décor and gift boxes, olive oil, culinary goods, local art, pottery and so much more!

Club Exclusive Olio Happy Hour

*New* for 2023: The annual Olio Nuovo kickoff event for Durant Club Members – upgraded! The Club Exclusive Happy Hour Event will celebrate the 2023 olive harvest with the release of our limited edition Maurino Extra Virgin Olive Oil and first ever Blanc de Blancs. The Durant Culinary Directors have composed an eclectic caviar-focused small bites menu showcasing sturgeon caviar, smoked trout roe, and Asian tobiko to pair with the 2018 Blanc de Blancs and 2021 50th Anniversary Bishop Pinot Noir. Look forward to tours of the newly equipped mill plus mingling with fellow Club Members and Durant staff.

*New* for 2023: Feast Olio, an elevated and immersive celebration of this season’s olive harvest. Guests will tour the newly equipped olive mill while sipping on Durant’s first-ever release of Blanc de Blancs, then enjoy a communal feast that features Durant Vineyard wines and the season’s Olio Nuovo (freshly pressed olive oils) paired with a farm-to-table meal prepared by our resident chefs, Eric Bartle and Sara Kundelius.

This November celebrate the harvest during our Olio Nuovo festival month. Experience the only Olioteca in Oregon, Durant Olive Mill. This guided tour offers an exploration into growing olives in the NW, and a guided look at the process of making award-winning extra virgin olive oil. This time of year, you get a chance to see the mill in action!

Olio Festa Wine & Olive Oil Tasting

*New* for 2023: An opportunity to do a seated tasting during our ever popular Olio Nuovo Festival. This experience allows you to enjoy two of Durant’s premier products at once: Durant Vineyards estate grown and crafted wines alongside Durant olive oils during a communal “European-style” tasting. A classic French baguette will be served to enhance the tasting. Seatings are limited.
Olio Nuovo Holiday Marketplace

Join us for shopping each weekend at our Holiday Marketplace to experience some of the area’s top artists, makers, and fine food producers alongside the Durant Farm Shop’s olive oil, wine, culinary goods, gift boxes, art, cookbooks, houseplants, holiday décor, and so much more!
Olio Nuovo Tasting Bar

A self-guided exploration of the distinct flavors of freshly milled extra virgin olive oil. Try each olive variety, side-by-side, exploring the unique flavor characteristics found in the various olive cultivars. Get cooking and pairing advice from our team of educated team members and shop our selection of olio nuovo evoo – from small gift bottles to full gallon sizes.
Olio Nuovo Food & Wine Pavilion

Enjoy live music, Durant Vineyards wine by the glass and bottle, Summon Coffee and an assortment of food trucks in the newly built and heated Tasting Pavilion every Saturday and Sunday in November.
Olio Featured Vendors
Each week in November
We are proud to be a small business that crafts local and sustainably-made food products in Oregon and enjoy collaborating with other local food producers as well. Each week in November a different Olio Nuovo Festival vendor will be featured along with a recipe they’ve created specially for the event using Durant Olive Oils. Weekend Festival visitors are invited to try each vendors’ creation, available to sample or for purchase at their booth.

In celebration of this year’s olive harvest and the outstanding Oregon culinary community we belong to, we’re partnering with select restaurants and fine food purveyors as a thank you for being loyal Durant supporters. These culinary partners will be the first to sample this year’s Olio Nuovo (new oil) and will use it to create a menu special or prepared food item that will be featured different weeks in November. We encourage you to visit and try each of them!
