18 Jun Olive Oil Pizza
Not every pizza needs a red sauce base, and that’s especially true during summer. Make your pizza pie a bit more vibrant with light, complex flavors. With Durant Tuscan Olive Oil as the base, this pizza shines. Use your favorite homemade pizza dough or pick up pre-made dough at the store. Once the dough is stretched, all that’s left to do is top, cook, and dig in for a slice. Recipe courtesy of Molly Allen.
Stretch and shape the pizza dough.
In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil and garlic. Brush the olive oil mixture over the stretched pizza dough, covering the center and the crust.
Top the pizza dough with mozzarella cheese, tomato slices, and prosciutto.
Cook the pizza either in an outdoor pizza oven or inside in your home oven. Once cooked, remove the pizza from the oven and finish it with chopped walnuts, finely grated parmesan cheese and fresh basil.
