From Northwest-hardy olive trees and edible landscape plants to culinary herbs, lavender, and seasonal specialties, our collection reflects decades of growing and gardening here on the Durant property.
Look for Durant Selects while you meander through the nursery, they are our signature collection of plants propagated from specimens grown here on the farm. Each one carries forward the heritage of Durant, offering you the opportunity to bring a piece of the farm home and cultivate its beauty in your own garden.
Olive Trees
We planted our first olive trees at Durant in 2008, beginning a journey of learning which varieties thrive in the unique conditions of Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Over the years, we have nurtured our groves, observed their growth, and selected the trees that have proven themselves here on the farm.
Our Durant Select olive trees are propagated from these established trees growing in our olive groves, allowing you to bring a piece of Durant home. Each tree carries a connection to our land, our groves, and the story of growing olives in the Pacific Northwest.
We also retail a wide variety of Northwest hardy olive trees ranging from 1 gallon starts to 20 gallon mature orchard grown trees.
Lavender
Lavender is a signature part of the Durant landscape, and our nursery offers one of the region’s most diverse selections for gardeners. Throughout the growing season, we carry up to 100 different lavender varieties in a range of sizes, colors, fragrances, and forms that are carefully chosen to thrive in Pacific Northwest gardens.
Visit the nursery to explore our collection, wander through the lavender fields, and join us each July for the annual Northwest Lavender Association Lavender Festival.
Throughout the year, we also consistently bring in seasonal specialty plants selected to add beauty, interest, and something unexpected to Oregon gardens.
