Shipping policy

Shipping Methods

  • Our default carrier is FedEx for both ground deliveries and express shipping (2-day air and next day air). We can ship via USPS ground/express, and in some cases, UPS, by special request. Tracking information will automatically be sent to the email address provided in the ship-to section of your order. Tracking information for your shipment is also held on file and can be provided upon request. 
  • At this time, Durant only ships within the United States. Durant cannot ship alcoholic beverages to Maine and Utah.

Delivery & Processing Schedule

  • Orders are processed for shipping Monday - Thursday. If weather conditions are not favorable for shipping, Durant reserves the right to hold your purchase until conditions improve. While we cannot guarantee that the weather will not change, we will make every effort to ensure that your package is not subjected to weather extremes. If you have any questions or concerns in regard to shipping, please contact us at shipping@durantoregon.com. Please note, our guarantee does not apply to wine shipped against our recommendations or is not received on the first delivery attempt.   • For all alcohol shipments, an adult signature (21 or older) is required upon delivery. For convenience, we recommend shipping to a business address or a FedEx hold location (to collect within 5 business days). 
  • We cannot ship any order to a P.O. Box. 
  • All orders are reviewed for compliance with state regulations before shipping. If additional information is needed, we will contact you using the billing details provided. 
  • Ground delivery typically takes 1–7 business days, depending on your distance from the farm. For the most current tracking and delivery estimates, please refer to the carrier directly. To request a specific delivery date, contact us at shipping@durantoregon.com.

Legal Requirements

  • You must be 21 years of age or older, to order and/or receive alcoholic beverages from Durant Vineyards. Receipt of shipments containing alcoholic beverages requires the signature of an adult (a person 21 years of age or older who is not intoxicated). 
  • The recipient will be required to show a valid state or US government-issued identification showing proof of age in order for the shipper to release the package to the recipient. Packages will not be left at unanswered doors. Please be sure to choose a shipping address where you can be present to receive during regular business/delivery hours. We strongly recommend shipping to business addresses. 
  • Wine cannot be shipped to Post Office boxes. 
  • All orders are reviewed for compliance with state regulations before shipping. If additional information is needed, we will contact you using the billing details provided. 
  • Wines purchased from Durant Vineyards are not for resale and are for personal consumption only. 
  • Durant can ship wine across the nation to states which legally allow for alcoholic shipments and for which we hold a Direct Shipping License or work with a Fulfillment center who can ship to the state on our behalf. 
  • We cannot ship wine to: Maine & Utah

Express Shipping

  • Express shipping consists of 2-day air or overnight delivery. The package will  be deliver by the end of the second business day after shipping for 2-Day Air shipping, and by the end of the next business day for overnight shipping. The delivery time can be as late as the evening hours in some locations. Orders must be received by 1 p.m. PST to be shipped out the same day. Express shipping for orders received after 1 p.m. PST will be shipped the following business day.

  • We make every attempt to fulfill orders based on customer requested ship date; however, holidays and unforeseen circumstances can force exceptions to delivery. Below are important shipping notes to keep in mind when placing your order. 
  • All shipments require a street address (no PO boxes). 
  • Durant is not responsible for incorrect or incomplete shipping addresses. Be sure to double-check addresses. 
  • Inclement weather and other unforeseen circumstances can cause shipments to be delayed. 
  • Durant is not responsible for shipment delays caused by adverse or unpredictable weather conditions. 
  • It is the purchasers responsibility  to double check gift recipient addresses. 
  • Billing customers are responsible to double check gift recipient addresses and to make sure gift recipients are available for delivery. 
  • Orders needing to be rerouted, reshipped, or returned to us will incur a $25 service fee. 

Wine Volume Limits by State Many states impose limits on the amount of wine we can ship. If your order exceeds these limits, we will contact you to discuss options.

  • Alabama: 12 cases per individual per year 
  • Alaska: 18L (2 cases) per purchaser transaction, 108L(12 cases) per purchaser per calendar year 
  • Arizona: 12 cases per individual per year 
  • Arkansas: 24 cases per individual per year 
  • Connecticut: 5 gallons (approximately 2 cases) per individual every 62 days 
  • DC: 1 case per individual per calendar month 
  • Georgia: Off-site: 12 cases per household and individual per year; On-site: 5 cases per household and individual per year 
  • Hawaii: 6 cases per household per year 
  • Idaho: 24 cases per individual per year 
  • Illinois: 12 cases per individual per year 
  • Indiana: 24 cases per individual per year 
  • Kansas: Off-site: 12 cases per household and individual per year 
  • Kentucky: 10 cases per individual per month 
  • Louisiana: 12 cases per person per year 
  • Maryland: 18 cases per household per year 
  • Massachusetts: 12 cases per individual per year 
  • Minnesota: 2 cases per individual per year 
  • Mississippi: 12 cases per address per year 
  • Missouri: 2 cases per individual per calendar month 
  • Montana: 18 cases per individual every 365 days 
  • Nebraska: 108 liters (12 cases) per individual per year 
  • Nevada: 12 cases per individual per fiscal year (starting July 1) 
  • New Hampshire: 12 cases per individual per year 
  • New Jersey: 12 cases per individual per year 
  • New Mexico: 2 cases per individual per calendar month 
  • New York: 5 cases per individual per month; 36 cases per individual per year 
  • North Carolina: Off-site: 2 cases/month; On-site: 5 cases/day per individual 
  • North Dakota: 3 cases per individual per month 
  • Ohio: 24 cases per household per year 
  • Oklahoma: 6 (9-liter) cases/year per individual 
  • Oregon: 5 cases/month per individual 
  • Pennsylvania: 36 cases/year per individual 
  • South Carolina: 24 bottles/month per individual 
  • South Dakota: 12 cases per individual per year 
  • Tennessee: 9 liters (1 case)/month and up to 27 liters/year (approximately up to 3 cases) per individual 
  • Texas: Up to 9 gallons/month and up to 36 gallons/year (approximately up to 15 cases) per individual 
  • Vermont: 12 cases per individual per year 
  • Virginia: Up to 2 cases/month per individual 
  • West Virginia: 2 cases per individual per month 
  • Wisconsin: Up to 108 liters (12 cases) per individual per year 
  • Wyoming: Up to 108 liters (12 cases)/fiscal year (starting July 1)
