Durant Black Garlic Pinot Noir Rustic Tomato Sauce

Our Durant Pinot Noir and Black Garlic Tomato Sauce was inspired by the deep purple, nearly black fruit that produces Oregon's premier wine varietal - and our favorite here at Durant Vineyards - Pinot Noir.

To expand on the "Noir" theme, we selected black garlic to introduce a depth of umami and a subtle sweetness that perfectly complements the ripe tomatoes.  The result is a richer, more complex sauce, ideal for a luscious eggplant Parmesan or simply tossed with pasta and a drizzle of your favorite Durant Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
