Hot Honey & Lemon Vinaigrette Spring Salad

Did you know you can make your own hot honey to use in a variety of ways? It’s simple, and you’ll only need two ingredients. Make a batch and mix it into an easy vinaigrette recipe for a vibrant summer salad. Need more ideas? Top pizza with hot honey or pair it with a chicken sandwich.

For the Hot Honey:
 1 jar Durant Wildflower Honey
 1 ½ tsp Red chili pepper flakes
For the Vinaigrette:
 2 tbsp Red wine vinegar
 4 tbsp Durant Lemon Fused Olive Oil
 3 tbsp Hot honey
 2 Garlic cloves, minced
For the Salad:
 2 cups Mixed greens
 ¾ cup Sliced cucumber
 ½ cup Sliced snap peas
 5 Radishes, sliced
 ¼ cup Hazelnuts, chopped
 ½ cup Parmesan, shaved
For the Hot Honey:

Empty the entire jar of honey into a small saucepan. Add red chili pepper flakes. Heat on medium-low heat until smooth, stirring frequently. Once it comes just to a simmer, remove from heat. Transfer back to the jar, straining if desired. 

For the Vinaigrette and Salad

In a mason jar, add red wine vinegar, lemon fused olive oil, minced garlic, and hot honey. Shake to combine.

Combine mixed greens, cucumbers, and snap peas. Toss with the vinaigrette. Top with radishes, chopped hazelnuts, and shaved parmesan.
